105-year-old Woman Falls Victim to Fraud
On Thursday, the police received a report that a 105-year-old woman from Hellerup had recently been the victim of fraud.
This was reported by Netavisen Sjælland.
According to the woman’s statement, she was contacted by a Danish-speaking man claiming to be Michael Hansen from Danske Bank. He stated that there had been an attempt to withdraw 13,000 Danish kroner from her account, and that the bank had intervened to prevent it.
Shortly after, another man showed up at the woman’s address. He informed her that he needed to take her payment card with him and would return the next day.
The police are now investigating the case as fraud.
