Mette Frederiksen on USA visit to Greenland: Not respectful
Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen rejects the notion that it is a “private visit” when the Second Lady of the United States, J.D. Vance’s wife, Usha Vance, and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz visit Greenland.
She made this statement in an interview with the national broadcaster DR.
She emphasizes that both Denmark and Greenland still want to collaborate with the USA.
“But when a visit is conducted in this way, and Greenlandic politicians say they do not want this visit, it cannot be interpreted as respectful.”
She also emphasizes the need to take Donald Trump seriously when he talks about wanting Greenland.
