Police investigating death of 2-year-old
The South Jutland Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 2-year-old child on Saturday.
This was reported by the police district.
The child was admitted to Sydvestjysk Hospital in Esbjerg during the night of Saturday and was subsequently transferred to Odense University Hospital, where the child passed away on Saturday shortly before 4 p.m.
“We have initiated an investigation into the death to clarify the circumstances,” says Deputy Police Inspector Brian Skovrup Christensen from the South Jutland Police.
In connection with the investigations, the police are present at an address in Varde Municipality, and interrogations will be conducted to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death.
The family has been informed, the police state.
