Olympic Bronze for Emma Aastrand Jørgensen
Emma Aastrand Jørgensen won bronze at the Olympics on Saturday in the 500m kayak event.
Gold medalist Lisa Carrington from Australia crossed the finish line in 1:47.36, setting an Olympic record. Silver went to Tamara Csipes, who finished in 1:48.44. Emma Aastrand Jørgensen finished in 1:49.76, closely followed by world record holder Aimee Fisher, who finished in 1:49.91 and missed out on a medal, coming in fourth.
With today’s bronze medal, Danish Olympic history is also being made, as Emma Aastrand Jørgensen becomes the first female Danish athlete to win four Olympic medals.
